It was founded by the nomads from the Afyonkarahisar region in the seventeenth century. It is 30 km from Süleymanpaşa. The economy of a village depends on agriculture and husbandry. There is a primary school in the village. The village has both a drinking water network and a sewerage network. There is not PTT branch but there is PTT agency. There is a health home. The road that provides access to the village is asphalt and there is electricity and fixed telephone in the village. The population in 2019 is 302 people. After Tekirdağ gained the metropolitan status on December 6, 2012, all villages turned into neighborhoods.
